Richard Feroze Scagliola - Specialist Manufacture & Consultancy
Chandos House, London - Fireplace Columns
The columns from this fireplace were removed during the second half of the twentieth century, while the building was unoccupied. During restoration, it was no longer possible to find Siena marble of sufficient quality to sit alongside the original remaining material, and Richard Feroze was commissioned to make the two columns in scagliola. The proximity of scagliola to marble made this work particularly challenging.
